Snacks

Problem: you just started eating Paleo and you have the munchies - all the time. What do you do?

For starters, try eating more at meals. Make bigger meals - more meat/protein and good fats, more veggies. The veggies can fill you up if you eat enough of them, but protein and fat keeps you full.

When you're fully adapted, you probably won't have this problem nearly as bad. Here's some suggestions for those between meal snacks:

  • Apple slices and nut butter
  • Veggie sticks and Greek yogurt or guacamole
  • A slice of bacon
  • Deli sliders: lunch meat topped with something else (personal favorite - ham and cheddar cheese)
  • Cheese cubes
  • Hard boiled eggs
  • Drumstick (for a bit bigger of a snack)
  • Nuts!
  • Jerky
