Dear Reader: Love Your Body

Dear members of the human race: Please read this article. It's an apology from a person who used to work in for a diet-food company to all of her clients. She thought, at first, that she was helping her clients, and she realized more and more that eating 1,200 calories a day is certainly not enough food. Especially not if that person was running 5 times a week. Or breastfeeding. Or a teenager on a high school sports team. You need more than that.

People need to hear that they are beautiful. Not just their face, or their eyes, or there hair. Not just their soul or mind, although those are important to hear, too. They need to hear that their bodies are beautiful. Your body is strong. Your body endures. Your legs are strong enough to carry you anywhere you want to walk, your arms can lift something heavy or hug a friend. Your body provides for you, so that when a deadline comes up and you can't make a meal, you don't immediately starve. Your body is a work of art just the way it is.
